Handmade and packed by their French master cheesemaker and his team in Nelson, Little River Estate cheeses are free from preservatives, thickeners, stabilisers, emulsifiers, pectin, flavourings, sugar and any other unnecessary preservatives.

Made purely from milk from the Oakland’s herd in Nelson, the European inspired cheeses are made from whole milk containing the A2 protein.

The beautiful Oakland cows are fed healthy green grass supplemented with hay, silage, Nelson fruit pulp from the local extraction facility and spent grain from a local brewery – they don’t get anything nasty like palm kernel! They are very happy healthy cows 

These wonderful products from Coconut Secret all started with a desire to create low-glycaemic products for diabetic family members. After lots of research they came upon coconut “toddy” – the minimally evaporated sap from coconut tree blossoms. The naturally sweet sap has a very low GI of 35, is raw, enzymatically alive, an abundant source of 17 amino acids, minerals, vitamin C, broad-spectrum B vitamins and has a nearly neutral pH.

@coconutsecretofficial has created soy-free Asian seasoning sauces – Classic Chinese Hoisin Sauce, Korean Red Chilli Sauce, and Spicy Malaysian-Style Curry Sauce. As with all their products, the “secret” ingredient is the nutrient-rich sap from the blossoms for amazing coconut tree!

Creating and supporting a healthy, living soil is the most important thing you will ever do as an organic gardener and is the key to producing an abundance of healthy, nutritious food.
If you are wondering how to create better soil and grow healthier food at your place, then join me for these two interconnected workshops which will help you understand the soil you have, how it functions (or doesn’t!), and how to use proven organic methods to create a healthy, productive soil.

Workshop 1: Know Your Soil August 22 1 - 5pm
Workshop 2: Heal Your Soil August 29 1 - 5pm

$100 for both workshops - and receive a $10 discount for every friend you bring along – because everyone needs to know how to care for their soil!!

Workshop 1: Know Your Soil – Discover its gifts, shortcomings and challenges too! Do some areas of your garden flourish, and others falter? This workshop will help you understand why. We’ll do some hands-on tests to assess your soil functioning – such as its structure, level of organic matter and ability to drain and hold water; learn how to test for pH and adjust your soil to suit your plant’s needs; discover who is living beneath your feet and how this soil life is pivotal to the health and abundance of your crops!
Workshop 2: Heal Your Soil – Learn about a range of proven organic tools/ techniques you can use at home to create deep, friable soil full of life! We will cover the benefits of organic soil applications from rock dust fertilisers to effective microorganisms. Try out a broad fork – you’ll be amazed at how easily it creates an open soil structure - and learn about key organic soil management tools such as green manuring and crop rotation.
It is well understood that nutritious, sustainable food can only be produced from a healthy, fully functioning organic soil. Come and join me and other like-minded people for a fun session of learning, and return home with some great ideas to start transforming your soil this spring!

Dehydrating food at low temperatures preserves nutrients and enzymes in foods that are often lost during other cooking methods.
