Naturopathy is a branch of healing that promotes & supports the body to heal itself : your body is encouraged to come back into balance. Naturopaths work to target the source of the health condition rather than the symptoms.

Sarah is the onsite Naturopath and founder of Cliffside Herbary & Dispensary which is a unique Naturopathic Clinic with boutique Herbal Dispensary, Apiary, and Medicinal Herbary.

Sarah offers Naturopathic consultations and workshops using medicinal herbs, plants, and seeds. She is available for in-clinic consultations that will set you on the path for better health and wellbeing, using the tools of holistic Nutrition, Herbal Medicine, lifestyle advice and where appropriate natural supplements. She holds a Diploma in Naturopathy (2024).

The Herbary/nursery has in-season offerings of medicinal plants and nutritious vegetables. The Herbary grows herbal teas, and boasts its own apiary providing fresh boutique raw honey and beeswax.

Cliffside Dispensary runs workshops to coincide with school holidays to teach young people the value of natural health. These workshops demonstrate how to grow and use medicinal herbs to make ointments, and herbal teas. These workshops also teach how to best use nutrition to support the body systems. Adult classes are also available.

• Functional testing for various body works including blood test analysis
• Holistic lifestyle recommendations for exercise and nutrition

Sarah works to find the source of health issues rather than treating symptoms, which is what Naturopathy is all about. She works with her clients to create a wellness plan in collaboration with them – tailored to their individual needs. As a registered Naturopath with the New Zealand Association of Medical Herbalists (NZAMH) and Naturopaths and Medical Herbalists of New Zealand (NMHNZ) Sarah has a huge support network. These organisations require continuing professional education which ensures Sarah keeps up to date with relevant medical research and the latest health developments.

Sarah can also be found at the dispensary desk at Taste Nature Apothecary (located at 131 High Street, Dunedin) Monday – Friday from 2-6pm for over the counter advice.
